Development Counseling Services
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Professional development counselors assist Church leaders in empowering individuals and families to overcome barriers preventing their long-term self-reliance. The process requires the individual to work closely with local Church leaders, a mentor and possibly family members. A referral from your local Bishop begins the process.

Financial Self Reliance Groups
These groups typically consist of 8-12 people who meet for 2 hours once per week for 10-12 weeks. Each group has a facilitator who does not lecture or teach but simply encourages everyone to work their way through a professionally prepared workbook together. All sessions are held virtually during Covid and may be held virtually or in person when health and safety protocols permit. There is no fee for participation.
These groups are sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While the importance of the spiritual component of life is acknowledged, the groups are practical and focused. The groups are open and welcoming to all, regardless of belief.
Personal Finance
Lean to track expenditures, protect against financial hardship, reduce impulsive spending, eliminate consumer debt, invest in the future, and prepare for retirement. You will create a financial plan and follow a budget. Spouses are encouraged to attend together.
Life Skills
